FSA makes some good stuff, but this headset is your basic open caged bearing headset, not waterproof or sealed. The ball bearings roll between two steel races not sealed, There is a 2mm or 3mm opening exposing ball bearings, not well greased and no seal at crown race.Yes; these ball bearings do not roll against headset cups, but they are not sealed to water or dirt.FSA makes one that looks the same with sealed caged bearings, seal on crown race, with black top and silver aluminum cups. I use that headset and paint the flange on cups black with SEM auto trim paint, it sticks good and needs no primer. Now I have a FSA caged bearing sealed headset, And if ever needed you can purchase replacement same caged bearings.Sealed FSA Headset is> Orbit Z-1 1 1/8 semi integrated with deep alloy cups. 44mm frame bore, 50mm OD head tube.FSA part number 101-1300
